Ice Posiedon and Sam Pepper pepper sprayed while livestreaming

A controversial live streamer found himself the target of an attack after a stranger sprayed him in the face during a live stream in Melbourne.

American internet personality Paul Denino, better known as Ice Poseidon was live streaming with some friends which included fellow Kick streamer Sam Pepper.

During the live stream, the group were sitting down on Southgate Avenue and chatting when a figure wearing a black hoodie and face mask snuck up.

Catching the group unaware, the figure sprayed Denino in the eye with what Victorian Police say is an unknown substance. He immediately ran away with Denino’s group chasing after him.

Denino had been left in pain, disoriented and angry, exclaiming: “What the f**k is that? He just sprayed my eye with like f**king acid or something.”

The group confronted the stranger, with Pepper holding the young teen in a headlock and interrogated him.

“What did you spray in my face?” Denino asked him.

“I’m sorry it was a pepper spray, let go of me,” the teen said.

Denino continued to curse at the stranger before flushing his eye out with some water. Later, as seen in a clip posted to his X page, he was given first aid by police.

News.com.au reached out to Denino for comment.

Victorian Police confirmed with news.com.au that the stranger was a 16-year-old from Port Melbourne and that he was arrested and released pending further inquiries.

“It is believed an unknown male approached the victim on Southgate Avenue and sprayed with an unknown substance in his face,” a spokesperson said.

Run in with police

This isn’t the first time both Denino and Pepper have dealt with Australian police as the pair had an incident with Queensland Police last month.

The pair were arrested and then unarrested after live streaming an interaction with a hired sex worker in Brisbane, where they hid in a room as she and a third man engaged in sexual activity.

However, she soon fled after being alerted via text that Denino and Pepper were watching the live stream in the other room. Police later appeared and arrested the pair before releasing them.

“Police attended and arrested the males, however it was subsequently determined that no offences had been committed and the males were unarrested and no further action taken at that time,” Senior Sgt. Brett La Frantz of the Queensland Police told NBC News.

Pepper’s controversial prank

Out of the pair, Pepper is more recognisable as prior to rebranding as a live streamer, he was well known on YouTube for his pranking videos.

Some of his infamous clips include approaching women on the street for directions before pinching their buttocks. He was later accused of sexual harassment by several women which he dismissed.

More Coverage

His other controversial video showed him pranking his friend, Sam Golbach by having him and Golbach’s best friend Colby Brock, who was in on the joke, kidnapped.

In this video, the pair are kidnapped by a masked man and taken to a rooftop where he pretends to shoot Brock as Golbach cries and screams in distress.

It was soon revealed to Golbach that it was a prank but Pepper was dragged online for the prank, with many left disgusted with the content creator.
