In the series, Evan Peters played the notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who murdered 17 men and boys.
In each episode, Jeffrey was seen to encounter his victims and mostly bribes them to visit his apartment.
When the victims visited his apartment, Dahmer would drug them and then brutally slaughter them, injecting acid or boiling water into the victims’ skulls.
The plot of each episode was highly appreciated by the audience, as how each word Dahmer spoke or how his murder scenes were demonstrated.
Apart from gaining fans’ support, the series faced several criticisms from the victim’s family members. It was reported that the tortuous memories had revisited their minds once again.
How Did Jeffrey Dahmer Die?
It was headlined in the news that Jeffrey Dahmer was murdered in prison by Scarver. Scarver was an American criminal known for his brutal killing of Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson.
Scarver was arrested for shooting Steven Lohman, who worked at Wisconsin Conservation Corps. After being arrested and found guilty, he was transferred to the same jail Dahmer was in.
On 22nd July 1991, Scarver was cleaning and moping the gym floor while left unsupervised with Jeffrey Dahmer and another prison mate Jesse Anderson. Scarver admitted that he had killed them both.
Later, he reported to The New York Post about his motive for killing Jeffrey and Jesse. He said that Dahmer had crossed the line with some people—prisoners and prison staff. Some people who are in prison are repentant—but he was not one of them.”
He added, “I turned around, and [Dahmer] and Jesse were kind of laughing under their breath. I looked right into their eyes, and I couldn’t tell which had done it.”
The post also shared that Scarver bumped a 20-inch long and a five-pound metal rode Jeffrey’s head. He couldn’t resist and died on the spot.
Why Was Jeffrey Dahmer Not Convicted Of the Death Penalty?

He also shared the reason why Dahmer did not face the death penalty despite killing 17 men and boys. Unfortunately, only 8 out of 16 murder victims were found and known. The remaining were never to be found.
Despite knowing only eight victims, Jeffrey pleaded guilty to killing 16 victims. In court, he added that he was insane for doing this.
He compared the case of Dahmer with serial killer Ten Bundy who had also murdered some victims. He also didnt face any death penalty because Wisconsin struck down the death penalty in 1853, long before Dahmer committed his crimes.
