'Your father will cry' - Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney in extended war of words in which pair agree

Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney have seemingly agreed to fight after an extended social media exchange on Thursday.

The rivalry between the Americans is heating up following Haney's victory over Regis Prograis last weekend, with numerous fans now calling for the pair to meet.

Davis is a former super-lightweight (130lbs) world champion now competing at lightweight (135lbs).

Haney is the former undisputed lightweight (135lbs) world champion who beat Prograis to claim the WBC crown at super-lightweight (140lbs).

In the aftermath of this victory, it emerged that Haney rehydrated up to 165lbs on the night of the fight, whereas Prograis was 156.8lbs.

This seemingly led Davis to fire shots at Haney's relationship with SNAC - a sports nutrition company founded by Victor Conte, who served time in prison in 2005 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute steroids and money laundering.

Conte has since insisted he no longer involved in any such activities and is now a vocal anti-doping advocate on social media.

Regardless, Davis tweeted: "Get that SNAC s*** out of boxing... Did he or did he not get caught cheating before? Them SNAC people?"

Conte replied: "In my opinion it's important for Gervonta Davis to learn the facts about Devin Haney and SNAC. We've worked together for about ten fights now. Devin has done stringent VADA testing for each fight. The BALCO case was 20 years ago. I have been an outspoken anti-doping advocate ever since."

Davis continued by replying to a fan and promising he would one day fight Haney.
